Mark Sullivan, Sexton
Since 1998, Mark has held staff positions in several large Episcopal and Lutheran parishes as either facilities manager or parish administrator, most recently at St. Mark's Church on Locust Street. Prior to his work in parishes he enjoyed a full career in retail, most notably as Director of Training and Development with Jos. A. Bank Clothiers during their growth from a small regional manufacturer to a major national chain. Mark is originally from New York. His wife, Nina, from Bryn Mawr. They have lived in Washington, DC, Chicago and Baltimore as corporate transfers dictated but have made their home in Bryn Mawr since 1989. They have two grown daughters, Natalie and Elizabeth (Lizzie), and an irrepressible Cairn terrier, Brutus.
Apart from church staff positions, Mark is an Episcopalian and has served on the vestry, capital campaign and stewardship committees, taught Sunday school and Confirmation classes, and, as an adult leader of the high school youth group, planned and executed several Habitat for Humanity type youth work trips, all at his home parish, Church of the Redeemer in Bryn Mawr. In his free time Mark enjoys travel, reading history, skiing and the care of his 26 year-old Volvo.
